Chuck's new book
The other night I saw Chuck Palahniuk at The Baghdad Theater. He was promoting his new book Rant. Chuck is one of my favorite authors, so I was very excited to see him in person. He didn't disappoint as he read from his own writings and even some fan letters. He gave away prizes, signed autographs and posed in pictures.
There was a contest for people arriving at the reading. Chuck wanted people to wear a wedding dress, because it's part of the book somehow. At the reading there were men and women dressed to their best, with dresses. I almost went in a wedding dress (don't freak out mom).
I went to Good Will and saw a wedding dress that would have been perfect. It was $30, a little out of my price range for the reason I needed it for. Not to mention, I felt a little odd as a single guy looking through the women's dress section. The people at the Good Will, I'm sure commenting, "There goes another cross dresser." So I went as me, and not some strange looking me, although that would have been fun too.
